Welcome Back!!

The day has finally arrived!  We will be opening again on this Sunday, May 17^th.   We have worked with some of you by appointment only, but now we actually get to welcome you back without having to have an appointment first!  We have had a busy time while we were closed.  A little paint here and there goes a long way to freshen things up a bit.  We have also worked hard at making sure you can move through our mall as safely as possible and still maintain an appropriate social distance.  Our vendors have been bringing in product while we were closed so there will be some new along with the old.  We have a wonderful selection of bird houses for your spring garden!  Contemporary, hand crafted and just plain cute houses for you to look over.  Come and celebrate with us (sorry, no coffee and cookies yet) as we continue to make our way through this strange new world!

Missing Mother's Day??!!

I have to say, this is going to be a weird Mother’s Day this year!  How do you celebrate that special woman in your life, mother or not!  Zoom meeting? Facebook?  Messenger?  Those are all platforms that can be used but are nowhere near the real thing.  I guess for this year, it will have to do.  Think of some special things you can do.  Send her a treat and have the same treat at your home then share them together long distance.  Send flowers or have a special gift delivered to her home.  It can be just about anything to celebrate the day and the woman.  Sometimes it is just connecting without the need for a treat or a gift.  Create a new tradition this year that you will have memories of for years to come.  If you can safely social distance your special person, we do have some wonderful collectibles available by appointment.  Josef Originals, pie birds, art, primitives, beautiful glassware and dishes, vintage jewelry and clothing, just about anything your special person collects or loves.  Call the mall and leave a message.  We will get back to you as soon as possible and answer your question or make an appointment.  However you choose to do it, make sure you connect on this special day.  Life is tough enough right now and a phone call or hand written note will just about make anyone’s day special!

It's "Green Thumb" Season

With all the time some of us have had at home lately, have you had time to take a good look at your garden or patio area?  The sun always brings out the need to “nest” in our backyards!  Our extended living rooms!  It is time to plan and plant for summer color.  South End Antique Mall has some great things to decorate your yard, patio and garden.  Even though our vendors are under the same quarantine you are, we still have inventory inside and outside you might love to enjoy in your home or garden.  We are trying hard to keep everyone safe so are just making appointments for you to view our treasures!  We are looking forward to the day when we can throw the doors open and welcome you all, but until then, just call the mall at 503-678-5242 and leave a message.  We try to check messages every few hours so will get back to you as soon as possible. In the meantime, take a deep breath and enjoy Spring!
