Vendor Spotlight!!

 

Meet our vendor Rick!  Rick has been with South End Antique Mall since its beginning.  He is one of our more interesting vendors as he has no specialty; he finds the best of a lot of different things.  He has glassware, jewelry, pottery, old cast iron, tools and furniture.  If you have ever been in the mall, Rick is vendor #0418 and you can find his spaces downstairs in the main area and upstairs, in the back corner. He caters to collectors of all things!  He will soon become one of your favorites!  Be sure to stop by and check out his spaces; you will get lost in all the treasures!

Get Your Holiday "Vibe" On!

 

Halloween has come and gone, so now we need to take a deep breath and head into Thanksgiving and Christmas.  Our vendors have stocked for both holidays!  I found beautiful vintage turkey platters and tureens as well as some outstanding Christmas décor.  Our horse, “Ambassador”, is hooked to his wagon and is just starting to get his holiday vibe on!  November is a busy month for us here at South End Antique Mall.  We have our Holiday Sale beginning Friday, November 24^th and running through Sunday, November 26^th.  The entire store is 10% off with many vendors giving even deeper discounts.  We are gearing up to meet your holiday decorating needs!  Be sure to mark your calendar now for this event!  The Aurora Colony has some terrific special events coming up as well!  Watch www.auroracolony.com for a full list!

Meet Terri!!

Our featured vendor for this issue is Terri, vendor #6300. Terri is an experienced vendor!  She has been dealing in antiques for at least 30 years.  She's great at searching out a huge variety of antique and vintage pieces.  She has great eye for those wonderful pieces of antique furniture and you can usually find something special in her booth.  It turns over quite often so you have to be quick!  Be sure to check out her booth at South End Antique Mall.  She is located on the lower floor, in the back section against the wall.  Stop by and check out Terri’s booth along with all the other treasures brought in by our creative vendors!

So Much To See!!

This month we are looking at our vendor Tim, #6496.  Tim has a terrific eye for everything automobile!  This is an industry he has worked in for many years so has had tons of opportunity to pick up treasure while working.  He also understands, there is a real mixed audience shopping antique malls so has a little of everything.  Tim has some beautiful antique furniture as well as the oil and gas lines.  Be sure to stop by and check out his space!  He is on the second floor so make sure you wander upstairs.  Be sure to mark your calendar for our last parking lot sale of the year!  We are celebrating Aurora Colony Days and will be having a storewide sale August 12th & 13th.   We will have many tents in the field as well as treasure inside the store! The city of Aurora will be hopping with tons of activities so check out what there is to do at "Auroracolony.com".

I may be biased, but I think we have some of the best vendors around!  I would like to pick one each month and introduce you to them.  This month I am featuring vendor #8100.  Her booth is located at the bottom of the main staircase.  Karen has been dealing in antique malls for at least 8 years.  She has a great eye for beautiful old furniture pieces as well as vintage collectibles.  If you are looking for old cookbooks, fabrics, aprons, tablecloths, and just plain cool old stuff, this is the place for you.  Stop by South End Antique Mall and check out Karen’s space as well as our other talented vendors.  You won’t be disappointed!

 Sometimes it’s just fun to turn things around and expand for a new look!  This vendor (#4070) has a wonderful selection of vintage hardware and just plain rust! She has just filled a space in our upstairs area and is a “must visit” destination.  Have you ever worked on a project where you needed just the perfect hinge, doorknob, or a special decorative element for your piece? This is the place you need to shop!  She has a great selection of hardware, old crates, light fixtures, etc.  Make sure you check out this space! “Hop On Over to Aurora” on Saturday, April 8^th for a special Easter event!  Meet “Daisy Bunny” at Three Daisies Vintage.  The event runs Saturday from 12 – 3.  Be sure to shop the downtown area but don’t miss wandering on down 99E to South End Antique Mall for a creative touch of spring and all things Easter!
