Fall Decor is "Slithering" Into Aurora!

Fall is finally here!  Now, along with all the fall color, Halloween has begun “slithering” its way into South End Antique Mall.  Vendors love this time of year and watch for terrific decorations and accents for you to use in your home.  If you are not “into” Halloween, just come anyway and check out all the fall color!  The entire month of October is special in Aurora. The vendors of all the antique stores are celebrating the fall season.  There is a “Table Top Hop” all month where vendors prepare special table centerpieces for you to enjoy.  There are also two open house weekends coming up next month.  November 10th-12th and November 24th-26th.  You will find tons of special fall décor and treats!  You MUST start your tour with South End Antique Mall!!

It's Time To Bring the Riot of Fall Color Home

It has finally arrived!  The cooler days and elegant colors of fall.  Some are breathing a sigh of relief to get away from the blistering heat of this past summer.  The vendors of South End Antique Mall are celebrating the change by bringing the fall colors into their spaces.  Take time to come and browse the offerings these colors bring.  Let us help you bring a touch of this striking seasonal color into your home.  You may even get a “peek “ of Halloween if you look close!

The Elegance of Wood

This fall we have changed the entry to South End Antique Mall to showcase the elegance of wood furniture!  Fine wood pieces made of Mahogany, oak and cherry are on display.   Victorian style and Mission style are just a few examples.  This is for those purists out there who prefer their furniture with classic wood finishes.  We have a great selection both in the entry and throughout the mall.  You will also find a wonderful selection of accent pieces such as art for the walls or beautiful porcelain pieces for the table top.  Take time to stop by and enjoy the changing season at South End Antique Mall!

The Pleasures of Pyrex!!

Pyrex is now over 100 years old (as of 2015) and still going strong!  If you look in the back of a cupboard, you may find a piece that was handed down from your grandmother to your mother to you!  The patterns are timeless and the usefulness of these pieces just does not die.  If you still have some in your cupboards, then treasure them and treat them well!  The graphics on the older pieces are not “dishwasher” friendly.  The patterns will fade and get cloudy.  Never put cold liquid in a hot dish or a hot dish on a cold surface.  They could shatter.  Be careful of chips on the edges if you stack them.  They make great colorful displays in an old pie cupboard or hutch!  We have several options available at South End Antique Mall.  The inventory of Pyrex changes all the time so, if you are a collector, stay on top of it and visit often!  This Saturday is the Aurora Colony Days celebration!  There are a ton of activities planned which includes an outdoor antique fair.  South End Antique Mall opens our parking lot and adjoining field for additional vendor space so we do a great job of filling it up!  Everything inside and outside the store is 10% off with many vendors offering even deeper discounts.  This is the last parking lot sale of the year and will be going on both Saturday and Sunday.  Don’t miss this one!
